If you are looking for SAT Prep, simply go with the official Blue Book; that's all you need. All of the "strategies" in this book are what can be derived from common sense: Read carefully yet as quickly as possible, time yourself, don't get nervous, etc.The book's examples were repetitive and unlike the actual SAT problems, and there were numerous typos and mistakes littered through the book. This book was useless, and I regret buying it.
I would recommend this to anybody. This book really prepares you for the SAT test.
All in all, it's good, but not great. while this book was somewhat helpful, i didn't get the vibe that i would be getting a 2400 after using its strategies. I just took the SAT a couple of days ago and I must say it did help a little in the Critical Reading somewhat, but the math portion doesn't help too much.
Stick to what College Board releases. Real SAT questions are not like the ones in this book. The review strategies are at times silly, especially since they are not applied to actual SAT questions and material.
Pair this with the college board official practice book. I approached the SAT with apprehension as english is not my native language. This book is tough but it offers some really useful tips that ultimately built the foundation for my 2390 (800cr, 800 math, 790 wr 12 essay).
